What is my 91 worth?

I live near Chicago, and cars are not cheap here.

With that being said...

91 4runner sr5 4X4 auto trans, has 360k on it.

Has midwest rust, no other body damage, all the glass is good.

The truck runs good, shifts good, 4X4 works fine. Tires are in good shape.

Needs new rotors and cv boots.

Where do I start on the price? Edmunds said less than 500 and kbb said over 2000 grand.

I know it has a lot of miles...but it's a Toyota, with 4X4..

I was thinking about starting at 1500 and not going below 1200..

What do you think?

Just using your discription and no pictures I would say 900 to 1200.

thats a ton of miles and rust sucks but your right its a toyota. i like the start at 1500 and drop from there.

First, what engine, it helps to know.
Second, 360K is a ton of mileage, even if it's a Toyota.
KBB prices are way overinflated. For the real worth check the NADA guide at your local bank, and some libraries. It's the price/value bible for the auto industry.
If you can get $1K grab it and run.

Sorry about that, it has the 3.0 motor.

I don't think I'd let it go for $1k.

Cars and trucks where I live are going for big bucks, and it's hard to find something that runs for 1k or less. People "ask" 2k for things with bad trans or needing a new motor. I feel a 4X4 that you can get in and drive home in, is worth more than 1k. JMO

I guess I'll see if I put a 4 sale sign on it.
