What is the best Circlip setting for Bilstein 6112 Coilovers?

Hey all,

My rig is a non-KDSS 2015 TRD Pro with the upgraded Toyota tuned TRD Pro Bilstein suspension system. Its past time for me to replace the front coil-overs and I am looking at going with the Bilstein 6112's for now. I also have a body mount chop and I roll on 295 70R17's. I've had no problems with the wheels. Basically I want to just match what I have in terms of ride height and suspension lift.

I have looked at ordering the 6112's online and the circlip options one has to select when ordering the coil-overs are as follows:

#6 / #4 = 2.6"
#5 / #3 = 2.2"
#4 / #2 = 1.9"
#3 / #1 = 1.5"

Everything that I have found states that the original TRD-tuned Bilstein's provided 2.5 in lift in the front. So, I am assuming that I should select the 2.6" circlip location for the 6112's. I am looking for some community confirmation on this. What I am afraid of is selecting the 2.6" and then once I put them on my rig, the front end will sit too high compared to what it has been prior.

Can anyone provide some insight on which height selection for the 6112's is the best to match the original TRD tuned settings?

Hate to inform you, but you misread the shock diameter of the TRD Bilstein Pro set up for the height!

The Diameter of the shocks up front are 2.5" and rears are 2".
The fronts on the TRD Bilstein Pro set up give it a 1" lift height.

The #4 / #2 = 1.9" will give you a slight rake and should be almost level when you load the T4R....
or you could do #5 / #3 = 2.2" and place a 1" spacer over the rear coils.

i tried out a middle'ish setting. eventually just set them to the top setting. loved them, especially for the money.

I just purchased this set up as well, although I stayed with 265s for now. I would double check those clip locations for lift setting. I went through shock surplus and saw there circlip recommendations were all over the place. I ultimately narrowed down and confirmed with them these were the right ones for non KDSS and non heavy load:

#7 / #5
2.5"
#6 / #4
2"
#5 / #3
1.6"
#4 / #2
1.2"
#3 / #1
0.8"

if you want to keep the height about the same as the stock trd pro suspension, you could always take the old Bilstein factory shock and match it up next to the new one to see where you want the spring to sit and select that circlip location which i think will be #4/#2 location. thats what i think im going to do when i replace my suspension down the road. what i found out is the springs that come with the 6112s are the same springs the come on the trdp made by eibach and are known for cracking. what i did cause my truck had low miles when my spring broke is i got myself a set of Dobinson C59-748R springs which adds 1 inch to the trdp model making it a total of 2 inches compared to a base 4runner.
