ride quality is a major one that comes to my mind.

I cant say that my body lift made my ride any worse, but I bet just a 3" body lift would eventually feel awful compared to say a 3" susp. lift.
It makes sense to do things right the first time, so I would recommend a susp. lift over a body, or if you want to really do it right (w/ a 4gen and without longtravel) then do both!

If i had to do it over id get a 1.5-2" BL instead of just 1"

one lifts the body off the frame, and the other lifts the frame and the body with longer springs and shocks (ie - bettar)

You're contradicting yourself, you know how they work but not the difference?

A body lift raises the body.
A suspension lift raises the entire truck, and a good one results in more articulation.

That's a difference.

A body lift is fairly simple to install.
A suspension lift is more complex.

That's a difference.

A body lift has no effect on the ride and handling.
A suspension lift effect's the ride and handling.

That's a difference.

no I was saying that I know a suspension lift is lifting the body and frame, and the blocks will just lift the body. I was asking what will the differences be as far as handling? or decrease in horsepower? acceleration? etc.

you wont experience any of that!

the truck will handle like it has a higher center of gravity, which is a change I enjoyed as it now drives,l ooks and feels like I would have liked it too stock.

If your debatine between the two, go with the susp., Old Man Emu makes really nice affordable stuff

if you have a fourth gen I know for sure you won't find a 4"
