Get a lot of the typical 'cool truck' etc type comments. I get more of a kick from the stories my girlfriend tells me after she borrows it. Basically guys of all ages falling all over themselves when she drives by them in it.

That's funny and I can relate. Mrs. Preacher tells me that when she drives mine, guys will speed up on the freeway to check out the Runner, but I know damn well, it's to check her out as well. Mrs. Preacher is a looker!

I get alot of "Woah damn nice 4Runner" or "How do you like the 4th Gen" and "I've never seen one with a GPS and these cool leather/suede seats" meaning the UrbanRunner I have. It's amazing how many people love the 4th Gen and have been turned away by the 5th. The 4th gen I would say has been by far one of the better generations of the 4Runner line

People Say

1. What kind of bumper (Shrockworks) is that?
2. Not a comment but probably would have had he seen me. I was at my doctors office last week and was backed into a parking space next to the building. Engine was off and I was on the phone. A postal employee pulls up next to me to unload and sees the bumper. I have dark tinted windows and he didn't notice I was still inside the truck. He walks around to the front and stands there staring at the bumper for about 30 seconds while walking back and forth. Then he walks around to the back. He was only back there for about two seconds. I guess the rear factory bumper wasn't that interesting to him.

I typically get "You must take that off-road a lot" which makes me think they're really saying it's is that it's looking a bit rough.

My wife gets more comments, usually something like "Is that your truck, you're badass lady" which she enjoys being a 60-something gray hair.

"You offroad a lot in that thing?"
"That thing looks mean/badass"
"Ever wash this thing?"

Just recently got a "damn, looks good with the lift" (5100's on top setting, and 1 1/2" daystar spacers in the rear).

The irony is that it was another guy with an 06 T4R thats bone stock. Poor sap is lost with mechanical work, and doesn't have the $$ to pay to have it done.

I'll tell ya, being able to do your own work is a great thing! :thumb3:
