What is the main difference between 2k3 & 2k4 4Runner?

Which one 2k3 limited or 2k4 sport 4Runner will you pick?

Can someone please tell me what is the main difference between a 2k3 and 2k4 4Runner Sport ed.?

If it were you, which of the following SUV will you pick assuming that there will be a $2000 difference between 2K3 Limited and 2K4 Sport Ed.

i just had the same dilemna....i went with the 03 as it was cheaper, and there are no major differences for the 04's. if your going with the sport edition, the new ones have the painted cladding which looks better...but for 2000 bucks i cant see that being worth it....go with the 03 its cheaper then you can put a few accessories on it if you want or bank it

Actually the 2k3 4Runner limited is more expensive than the 2k4 sport ed by $2000. I think this is due to the 2k3 model that the dealer need to get rid of before ordering the 2k4.

oh ok i thought they were the same model just different year. well, i can tell you i bought a 2000 sr5 a few years back because it was cheaper than the limited. the whole time i had it i was trying to make it like the limited, and i regretted not just getting it in the first place...needless to say i have since sold it, and bought an 03 limited. so for 2000 id say go for the ltd oever the 04 sport. itll be worth more later too!

It really depends on what you're looking for. When I bought mine, I knew that I do NOT want leather. I've had several cars with leather interior and I really don't care much about it (I traded a 98 Mercedes for the 4Runner). So that kind of lean me more towards the Sport Edition.

After test driving back to back a Sport and a Limited, I found that the effect of X-REAS is very very noticeable.

So, it was an easy decision for me.

How long do you plan to keep the vehicle?

A 1 year difference affects deprecation in the short term. If you plan to keep it a few years, don't worry about it.

Finally I've got the 04 V6 Sport Ed Titanium Metallic (the limited 03 was about $2700 more) for almost two weeks now with $400 over dealer invoice. So far, I love it. In my opinion, it's the best SUV for around $30k in comparison to the cross over (Endeavor, Montero Sport, Murano, Pilot, MPV, Trooper etc.) with all the feature like Strong acceleration, TRAC, DAC, VSC, Tire pressure monitor etc. I wish that the cabin could be a bit quieter under strong wind that I experience lately. Knock on the wood and hope that it will last and will be as quiet at least for the next 7~8 years.
