That looks like the plug that you use when you get the ash tray with 2 12 volt outlets.
:iagree:

It and the standard power outlet have a combined capacity of 120W. Probably not nearly enough for the inverter you want to install.

that wire is too high up. as I recal, looking at someone elses truck, the power outlet is farther down in the center concel

That is the connection for the ashtray with cigarette lighter. The wires are as follows:

Cigarette lighter:
Hot - Pink with Blue stripe
Gnd - White with Black stripe

Cigarette Lighter Illumination
Hot - Green
Gnd - White with Green stripe

Ashtray Illumination
Hot - Green
Gnd - White with Green stripe

If you look forther under the center console (further to the rear of the vehicle), you'll see a 2 pin connector (red with white stripe and a green) which is the outlet for the stock inverter.

There are a number of threads talking about adding the inverter, but it was rather pricey, since you needed the inverter, the relay, the switch, the outlet. I can recall people coming up with numbers close to $700 or so to add the stock inverter.

Do a search for inverter and you should pull up a number of older threads talking about this.

... that plugs directly into the center console mounted digital meter for the blinker fluid level. But obviously you were too cheap to purchase that option.

He may have not gotten it because the blinker fluid has to be changed so frequently.
