What is this feature?

So I was driving up into my driveway and since i can't park inside the garage i park to the side so my sister can go in and out of the garage easily. So I just drive over the curb and usually I do it with ease, but today the 4runner slipped (apparently) when i began to drive over the curb. The little light came on and i heard like a metal scraping the curb for a second. Basically what I'm asking is if this is normal and what IS the "limited slip differential traction control" feature?

Just a feature that helps keep you safe in slippery conditions, or in this case, when going over a curb too fast. :biggrin2:

The sounds you heard and the mechanical intervention you felt are normal. It was the TRAC system applying the brakes to that slipping wheel.

Just think of it as city 4-wheel driving. Go over some curbs, do some donuts in peoples yards, etc....
