What is this plug for???

IO am quite electronically ignorant.

What is the empty port for? Can an iPod adapter plug in there? Are one of those utilized plugs for the tape deck? If so, can I unplug the tape deck and plug in an iPod adapter?

I am pretty sure that is where a CD changer would plug in if you had one. It can be used for an Ipod adapter. Somebody back me up on this or please correct me if I am wrong.

I was figuring the same - except I did not think the head unit had controls for a changer.

Can anyone else chime in here??

Yes that plug is for a cd changer. you push the disc button twice and it will switch over and you use it like a normal cd player and the 1-6 buttons are used for functions like next disc. i bought an ipod adapter for 50 bucks and you would just push disc twice. Works very well.
