what is this thing on roof rack called???

SORRY I DONT HAVE PICS, dont know what its called to google, however...

first off they go on the roof racks. there is like bar that runs from the driver side to the passenger side , however the bar is like a piece of nerf or some kinda styrofoam that just holds on to a bar. there are 2. at first i thought it was snowboard holder, b/c thats how it looks. but then one day i saw it on a 3rd gen and it looked like a protective styrofoam wrap around the roof rack bars.

and to describe this thing more...
its like...that styrofoam piece you find in between the handle bars of little kid's bicycle. its that styrofoam looking tube that wraps around the middle part of handle bars so kids dont hit the brakes and smash their face on the bar.

yessir that is it. i see what its used for now. it looks cool though i like it even though i dont surf or board or do any of those sports..it just looks sporty. is it considered poser if i had one? maybe i could get one that says like TRD or something that would be cool

Well...I think it depends on where you live. I used to live in Colorado and I used to see people with them and I thought it was pretty poser. I also used to live in California and pretty much everyone had them - I had friends who couldn't surf and had them.

Then again, this is coming from a guy who has TRD stickers on my 4R :lmao:

alright...i live in GA..in the most country area u can possibly see..we are out here with horse farms and cow farms..with ppl who sit on the side of the road and sell boiled peanuts and tomatoes lol

Called a crossbar pad - useful for carying kayak or canoe too. Or maybe a pitch fork or ladder in GA.
