What is this thing suppose to hold?

I use it for times that I need to take off my wedding ring while driving, or for the cap off of a water bottle.

I've never used it because:

1) Nothing really fits.
2) Anything that might fit will probably slide around, scratch the plastic, and make it unsightly.

I usually just put small items into the cup holders.

I've pondered this myself. I used to think change but there's a slot for that in console. Then I thought it could possibly hold my hopes and dreams...

A-freaking-men. Hell I don't even go off pavement in ours, just winging around onramps and taking normal corners, whatever I put in there ends up on the floor.

I even tried cutting out some of that rubber tool box liner stuff and putting it there, but then the "cubby" became too shallow to hold anything else.

I haven't checked back in a while, but came back to 14 replies and completely underestimated the amount of jokes to serious answer ratio haha.

Just wanted to make sure I wasn't missing out on some glorified item that was suppose to go there.

I keep a couple dollars in change there to buy my sausage biscuit at MACKDONALDS on the way to work. My Tic-tacs go in the recess in front of the cup holder with a Bic lighter.
