well i took a load of crap to the scrap yard today and sitting there is a row are 5 4runners.... even worse one is a turbo.... i just looked in them today and tomarrow im gonna go part them out and more than likely get that damn turbo! best part is.... wait for it...... only 25 cents a pound! i think the whole turbo set up is what.... around 20 ish? not to mention all the dinky little interior stuff i can never find.

i will post a list of everything i get tomarrow and the total price. wish me luck!!! after i go part out as much as i want i will tell everyone where the scrap yard is so if your close u can come and look through it.

heck yeah, i started the thread in here on the 4runner i bought for 300 bux, 2 big things, roll bar and the back seats. and if your in nashville? (guessing by name), im in georgia, long way to drive but, its looks expensive to ship one from across the states

well i think i got a freakin steal today!!! i got a whole turbo engine out of the turbo 4runner along with the tranny. i pulled some perfect rear plastics like along the sides that dont have any cracks or anything. i got a set of those panels that cover the bolts holding the top on. took a whole intake for the thermo time switch cuz mine is bad.... took a nice hood. i almost took a hard top, i think i will go back for it later. got some tail light lenses and side marker ones. found a wheel that matches mine so i have a spare that matches.

i took a few more little dinky things, all together i offered the guy $150.... he said $200... then i said $125? then he said how bout $175? i said deal!!!!!!!!!!!

better yet... i sold the motor 20 min later for 450 and the tranny for 130. hahaha i probly wasnt ever gonna use it anyways. ok well if you guys are anywhere near payette idaho then the scrap yard there has 5 4runners and still loads of parts. enjoy

I live near st. paul and minneapolis here in Mn and there is no 4runners or toyota pickups in surrounding 100 mile area. so lucky you that found some. Im jealous:thumb3:

Blue can be repainted grey pretty easily, my inclinometer was red so I painted it with grey tremclad and it looks great. you would never know it was spraybombed.

seriously? that turbo tranny in my parts would go for 800 bucks easy in my neck of the woods. why would you not just throw everything in ur truck instead of just the turbo?
