What is this?

Now i have been craving a rear locker as of late and was looking at the space were the switch would be on mine and i have seen on others it is just a blank space. And on mine there is a little red light lookin thing. does this mean its already have one just no switch and life is complete now or what??? i dont know why this would be there but hopefully someone does!

Does that little red light mean you have a rear locker? No.

That little red light is most likely from a security system or a dummy light that blinks after you lock the truck gives the impression you have a security system.

The reason why it is where the locker button should would be because that little square panel had nothing occupying the space. It is much easier and smarter to put a little red light, for whatever reason, in a button location as to not permanently alter the entire dash but rather a small button "slot".

Now that you got that figured out, you should def be worried about getting you 4runner flipped back over onto its wheels so your pictures don't turn out looking like they are sideways.
