i believe there is a remote to turn it on. I have the remote for the rear but no batteries so i couldn't tell you for sure lol.

Yep, there are also wireless headphones that need to be turned on too. Pretty useless system in my opinion.
It is basically a stereo for the rear seats. They can listen to different stations using the wireless headphones. It was a funky feature that I never really saw any value in, but it came with the jbl so you are stuck with it. You can have my remote if you want it. I pulled out my jbl so I don't need it.

Those are all bluetooth, these are actually wireless so I think only Toyota OEM headphones work with it. But since I never played with it, I'm not entirely sure

For that you need the IR headphones from Fry's, Bestbuy, or even Amazon. where they have the dvd players for cars.
