what is wrong with registration?

I've been trying for a week to register on the forum, but always got the message that registration has been disabled by the administrator. I emailed JAGinFL 2 times but never got a response. Today, just by chance I tried to register, and it was open. It's closed again now.

I looked everywhere on the site for an explanation of what was going on, but couldn't find any. Would anybody like to share what's happening for others who are looking to join but are unable to?

I look forward to being a contributing member of this community. I just purchased a 2000 Toyota 4Runner SR5 4WD in black.

I believe they limited registration to help with the massive spam we have been getting lately.

Josh is exactly right. Registration is "open" occasionally when one of the site founders is around. Until we get a software upgrade to help with preventing the spam it's impossible to keep up with if the registration was open.
