what leafs am i looking for???

i have a coil spring lift in the back of my 4runner right now and the ride is kinda stiff... i put bj spacers in front and took some tension off the t bars to smooth out the ride in front. but the back is now bothering me, its about 3 inches above stock. anyone have any ideas about leaf springs out of other vehicals that would get me about 3 inches lift over stock ride hight.
ive heard some chevy ones would work but i have no idea which ones. im not to picky on the vehical they come out of chevy dodge god forbid jeep or ford but anything that gets the job done. or if anyone had some really cheap lift shackles. or anybody have some better ideas that wouldnt cost me more than about 30 bucks???

and i would prefer somthing that i wouldnt have to do alot of cutting or anything. we have 8 inches of snow and no garage....

No cutting/welding/fabricating limits you to a direct bolt-in replacement, either stock height or lift springs.
Old Man Emu makes some 2" lift spring that ride great, shocks too. Get a complete suspension kit and it'll ride and handle better than new.

ok what about options involving cutting??? i dont have a welder and none of my buddies around here have one either so thats not an option right now... all i want is about 3 inches of lift over stock height. any other ideas???

I got my OME Dakkar 2" lift springs for about $100 each. With a slight shackle lift you really can't beat it.

Yeah, I have a set of Rough Country or Rancho blocks sitting in my garage too.
I never thought about using them as wheel chocks. They even have a slight taper (to correct pinion angle.)

Just make sure they are steel, not aluminum.

I dont know, when I was kid I always had some aluminum ones in one chevy or another and never had any problems. The worst problem I ever had is the bolts loosening up. I agree steel is better,but in the 30 buck neighborhood,

there were also some shackles on that site for 15 bucks it says there like 5 inch ones, if i take out my coil spring lift and put the shackles on the stock "saggy" leaf springs how much lift over stock would i get???

It depends.....
On the angle of the shackle after installed. You want your shackles to run at about 15 degrees. If the shackle is able to stand vertical with the weight of the truck on it you would get 5". This is usually not the case. So probably the best answer is " a little more then with your stockers".

Longer (lift) shackles won't give you any lift "over stock", they will just give more height over wherever it sits now. A shackle that is x" longer than the stock shackle will give you half that amount (x/2 ") of lift.
For example, a shackle 4" longer than the stock shackle (measured eye-to-eye) will give 2" of lift.
