What New Truck?

Well if they do total my truck, I'mma need something new. I'm pretty sure I want to stick with a 4Runner, all my mods will fit on the new truck and I don't really know what other vehicles are out there that would be as good off-road and such for the same money. Plus it's hard to beat Toyota quality - look at how well my 4Runner held up when 60mph of Saturn mated with it.

Anyway if you can think of something else that isn't on the list post it here. In addition to voting, post your opinion and why.

I'd say red 05 limited. Red so those saturn drivers can see ya in the future! 2005 as I presume you'll get another v8. might as well go for the new v8 engine and get (hopefully) better mileage. and limited, well, that's just my preference. I got really used to the creature comforts that come standard in the limited. when I went to look at my 04, I looked at the sport and realized things that I really liked about my current 03 limited were missing. I ended up with the 04 limited...leather, seat warmers, 110v inverter, auto headlights...all those things come to mind. is it worth the price jump to you? dunno, you'll have to answer that yourself. I answered it for me and the answer was yes!

I was thinking the same thing. No matter what I get it will have a V8. I do really like the hood scoop on the sport however, so somehow I would need to add that. I also really like the silver roof rack. Too bad I can't order a Limited Sport Edition

I'd go with the red Sport, I love the way the Sports look, plus you'll have a color that when people see it, they'll know you've got an '05

Remember if you are going to add a lift the sport will be more of a bitch to add it to.

This is true, but I already had a lift planned for my 04 sport, and it shouldn't be any different for the 05.

I went to the dealer today and they said the 05 V8 is still a couple months out. Anybody know when you can oficially order/get an 05 V8?

I really hate to see your 4Runner get clobbered. If you do get another 4Runner, I would opt for a 05 Sport red. I'm partial to red. If they had red in 2001, I would of gotten that. Also the Sport gives you a mix of good stuff and I feel is a good value. Also the Sport would look good in red. And I almost forgot, I would get the V8. Since you already got the V8, I assume you are getting that, but if your not sure, GO for the V8.:driving:

I guess I am the first different one. I think you should get an 05 V8 Sport in grey. You liked it enough to buy it in the first place, so why switch? I am not a big fan of red SUV's anyway but that is my own choice. Whatever 4Runner you end up getting, good luck with it. Also, what are you going to do for a car until you get your 05? I don't think insurance will cover a rental for that long.

I've got a 1985 BMW 325e that I'm slowly turning into an autocross car, and it's just fixed up enough to be a daily driver. When I got it the car didn't run at all, but now it runs fine - just not in a trackable state. Shouldn't have a problem for just around town driving though.

I do really like the gray however, which is why I'm having a hard time deciding which one I want more. I was sad that the red wasn't available on the 04, so when I heard that I could get it on the 05 I was glad they brought it back. Now that I'm in a position to get another one, I'm not sure whether I should jump on that or get the gray again.

Hm...tough decision! I'm not a red person, so I'd go with gray, but Sport or Limited, that's where I'd have trouble deciding. I'd probably end up with the Limited with XREAS, but that's just me.

My vote was for red - but I a have yet to see one. I just see that as the classic 4-runner color.
