So picked up an 87 4runner about a month ago, had a grizzly rear locker and 4.88's done front and back and was curious what upgrades i should look into next. Truck is pretty much stock, don't daily drive it , use it mostly as a weekend warrior, trail/hill climbing.

First of all welcome!
Now...post some pics of your new truck.
Sounds like a good start. Opinions may vary but I would suggest getting some armor on it. Front &rear bumper, sliders. A few options out there for armor. Get used to it on and off trail, once you know how it perfoms, and how you perform behind the wheel( i mean many many miles) Then consider a lift of a few inches if you need it.
Maybe throw on a roof rack and lights and your done....
Not really a build can never be "done"...welcome to a new addiction haha

What's out there for bumpers? All I've really come across is trail gear.

Front range,CBI,Addictided off road, Dave's off road, demello there are a ton of options. Best thing you can do is get one that will offer your back gate some real protection. We see so many with a tree crease in gate and window not working right.

I have my '86 locked front & back with 4.88's. 4" suspension lift. Bilstien shocks in rear & waiting for the front billies to be delivered. Removed front lower valence to give better front approach angle. Soft top installed instead of rear shell. Tactical Armor rear bumper with spare tire carrier & Hi-lift mount.
There is so much that can be done to these to make it "Yours".
