Mobil 1 with oem filters
0W-20 , and I had 5W-20 in it in the summer and back to 0w-20 now .
Pretty ironic that we're trying to save the planet with 0W "green" oils and paper filters but they don't have the foresight to put it in larger plastic containers still. You have to use 7 plastic quart bottles! DOH!
Been changing it around 7500 miles but changed it early,a little over 6k last time do to some hot dusty summer offroad driving.
I have not bought individual quart bottles like in 5+ years.
You never bought the 5 quart containers at Walmart? Mobil 1 5 quart container is $23.

LOL...I try to avoid that place like the plague. I've been to Walmart twice in my life and both trips were to buy oil. I'm really not an anti big-box retail person, it's more the type of people that work/shop there that I don't care for.

They DON'T sell the recommended oil which is 0W-20 in 5 quart containers......period:flamethrwoer2:
Ask Mobil......It's in their FAQ's! :bigok:
If I can find prices like this at my local parts houses, I'll buy several cases and stock up. Every time I'm in there checking on prices, its more like $7.99/qt.
So far, I've had the oil changed at 5K intervals (10K on the T4R) using Mobil 1 0W20 and OEM filters.

Why would you not use what is recommended in the engine?
I use what the dealer puts in. Free oil changes FTW!

I'm using Amsoil 0W-20 with a Toyota Filter, Planning on changing mine every 10k or once a year. I spend about $50 on Oil since these take 6.5 qts.:wow: $6 on Filter and about $5-10 on shipping. I buy Amsoil for my buddy at the same time so we split the shipping and tax charges.

Actually 5W-20 IS recommended—in Canada.This fact alone convinces me that CAFE regulations are responsible for the 0W-20. Toyota gains more than slightly better fuel economy by going with 0W-20—they can also brag about extended miles between oil changes.

Mine only has 1032 miles on it now. I bought OE filter and oil from local dealer for $37. I get a dicount through my shop. I will do first change at 5k then will start using mobile1

Yep, thats a good one. What you have to do is wait till the end of the month when people get their government checks. Thats when the real interesting specimens come out....:wow2:

My Yota dealer has 0w20 on tap for the newer cars. Can't be bothered to make a mess doing it myself when they only charge $15 + parts at the dealership...
