What oil do you use on your Runner??

At 260,000 miles, I switched over from regular oil to Mobil 1 synthetic high mileage. After 1000 miles since the change to synthetic, all is good. No leaking, no oil consumption. Some folks will put the fear of God in you about making the switch, but I took a chance and so far I don't regret it.

In my 4runner's engine, I use either Valvoline Max Life full Syn 10w-30 or Castrol Syntec 0w-30. Changed out once a year, putting on about 4,000 miles yearly.

I change at 5k intervals with the synthetic.

I use Mobil 1 5w30 high mileage and a toyota filter. Varies on intervals based on freeway driving and off road driving. I go 5000 max. It's cheap enough at Walmart.

M1 syn 5w30 from Costco and a Toyota filter, 5k intervals. Nothing fancy here really, but she runs like a top and doesn't burn a drop.

On a whim I tried the next gen recycled Valvoline oil late fall. Oil stilll looks new after 5months of use. I usually run the Wal-Mart synthetic though.

Mobil 1 from Costco for me too, along with Napa gold filter. I run half a can of Seafoam in the crank for about 5 min first, oil comes out very dark. I do this change every 6-7000miles... and it runs very smooth

does anyone know if Denso makes the OEM filter? the reason I ask is rockauto had a good deal on them.
