What part is this?

I found this part inside where the radio goes. It was connected to the stock radio. It looks like a amp. I dont think I need it for my new radio.

that looks like a factory amp to me. you will have to run your own wires to your speakers, or run an interface, and run the factory amps.

hey man, just hang out to that though! i am pretty damn sure i fried mine about 2 weeks ago. ive been without music since then. im going to be dropping my truck off at an audio shop so they can test everything for problems...including that amp. i was being dumb and it was cold, so i skipped unhooking the battery and lo and behold, 2 wires tore out of place and touched.

just so you know, the harness that plugs into the amp (not the one that goes to the cd player) can be plugged into the cd player.
