What parts interchange?

my name is mud

I just got a 91 love it! It looks to me like the head lights off the 92 to 95s will work? What parts of the grille will work if any? Now fender flares will the factory 96 flares on the limiteds work?

P.S. These forums are great! Thanks in advance for your help.

For the same generation vehicle, almost every part will interchange between p/u and 4Runner, 2WD or 4WD.

Obviously some parts won't work between a 2WD and 4WD vehicle or p/u vs Runner.

Im not just curiouse guys. I want to update these things give me a sec of your time please. can i just replace the lights and pull the rings out? do i need to replace the grille with the lights? since 96 is a different generation i guess the flares wont work?

As far as I know, the grill comes off as a unit, and the headlites are held in by screws behind this grille as well as a spring. The bezel will come off with it, and the headlite just pops out. The grill will interchange as far back as 85, though it is a different style. I rock a 1991 grill on my 1986 and it popped right into place.

There are several free online Toyota EPC catalogs that you can download that are amazing and I use them all of the time prior to a repair or when trying to cross reference parts:

Here is a post fellow poster (Todd) who posted it on another 4-Runner/Pickup discussion site about 2 years ago:

"There is a newer version of the EPC available for download.
Similar in size to the older version (254MB and 220MB zipped files)
I have them on my personal FTP server (not always running), and they are also on another FTP server.

Address and login for mine:

Login: t4x4pickup
Password: t4x4pickup

Address and login for the other (usually running 24/7)
ftp.lawvision.net
User: upload
Pass: upload

Apparently they cover 1988 and up vehicles (I haven't unzipped mine yet).

Feel free to upload and download on mine.

Enjoy!
