Drop-in, no drill HID or LED headlights?

After eight years with only slight changes, the aftermarket has pretty much covered everything else. Everybody got their snorkels, no-drill roof racks, and superchargers. I don't wish for much that's not already out there.

The only thing I'm disappointed in is that all this great stuff is aftermarket instead of Toyota- or TRD-branded and available as options at the dealer.

last time I checked, you don't have to drill anything to install hids.

OrangeVirus hand held tuner with multiple tunes....supposed to be in the works. Hopefully as good of results or better than the 3rd gen 2gr Tacomas have reported.

I sure hope so. I was seriously looking at this for my Tacoma before I sold it and bought my 4Runner.

a nice turbo kit that lets the 5gen put down 500whp+ 500tq to the wheels.
Also a nice standalone ecu that lets you plug a laptop via a usb port for fuel/ignition/tuning capabilities like Hondata.

I have to admit I like my euro style tail lights on my 2012, I had them on my early model Accord as well i miss that drop in H22 motor

Would like to see a heavy duty toolbox size box for the back, custom fit to chain to the rear tie downs, with padlocks for security. I made my own, but it looks terrible.

Actually, it works surprisingly well. Before we made our whole roof racks, I was running lights from crossbars and our light bracket on the factory rail setup.

The problem I have with lights up that high, is that unless you're using them for stationary lighting or on paved roads, they tend to make your vision a whole lot worse when riding off road and kicking up dust and whatnot.

Not to mention, I'd imagine a decent bit of the beam has to be interfered with by the two to three feet of roof in front of them.

That said, I can imagine the pods working slightly better than a massive lightbar. And I suppose it'll eliminate the potential for having some real nasty hood-glare that you can often get from right above the windshield mounts.

Not really. I used them extensively on forest roads at night, and twice at Uwharrie at night. No roof interference, no hood glare, etc. As long as they're angled properly it was perfect.

This was Uwharrie at night in December in a wintry mix storm.

Generic ones work fine, and there are Prado ones that probably fit precisely.
