What rear coils for Icon Stage 1 lift

I just bought the icons stage 1 lift for my 97 4runner. I’m not sure what rear coil springs to use. Should I use the toytec superflex’s or the OME 890’s. (I have both on hand)

I have a stock bumper, but I do have a sleeping platform in the back. I don’t want to have the rear taller than the front, so I was thinking the toytecs. But I’ve also read that the 890’s compress a lot With as little weight as a sleeping platform.

What do you think? Run the superflex’s or the 890’s?

If you're truly wanting a level lift go with the 890 but keep in mind that a level lift won't give you much wiggle room when it comes to cargo weight. I have my front coilovers adjusted for 2" lift over stock. When I had 890s, I had about a 2.5" rear lift on level ground with about 100# in the rear. If I was parked on even a slight incline it would give the illusion that the back end was sitting lower. The superflex gives me about 3.25" of rear lift.

From my experience with the 890s, I would only get those if I was going to have 1" lift in the front. But that's just me because I usually carry a good bit of gear & I prefer the back end to be 1-1.5" higher than the front to give me leeway for weight. 890 & superflex ride about the same.

I think you made a good choice. Do your best to fight the temptation of cranking up your front coilovers to match the superflex. You'll have a little rake but you'll be thankful once you're geared down. I really think 2-2.5" front lift is the sweet spot with 2.5" being the max before ride quality starts taking a hit. I define 2-2.5" front lift as 22-22.5" center hub to fender.
