What rear drums are you using?

Time to change the rear shoes (soaked with diff fluid) and drums (warped), and figured I'd do it while I was replacing the rear axel seals that are leaking. I'm currently running the Brembo blank rotors up front with my TBM. Was looking at using the Brembo drums in the back (but they're pretty expensive). What is everyone else running for drums and what kind of success have you had with them?

Don't bother, those drums are thick as hell. Just get them turned and call it a day.

Good point. I'll have them looked at again. I forget, but I think the last time I had the brakes inspected they said the drums were no longer thick enough to be milled again. Hopefully they can be milled

Using something as simple as a tape measure you can find this out for yourself. NEVER take a shops word unless you really trust them.

(Can you tell I had a bad experience? Worst thing is wasn't even my truck at the time)

Otherwise, I'd run Brembo. Cheaper then OEM, just as good quality, but not a cheap part like the others. I actually have a set sitting around that are new JUST because a shop said they needed replacement.

Long story, but the truck just had it's seals done when I bought it. The shop convinced the previous owner the drums needed replacement too. The brake job they did caused the brakes to drag, they couldn't fix it. I forced them to put it back to the way it was and fixed it myself once I bought the truck (they weren't going to refund the cost). The drums were WELL within spec. Not even out of round.

Wearever drums and discs from Advance Auto. No problems. Stock 4runner discs in the front for about 4000 miles now, no issues.

I swapped the factories for NAPA drums and shoes at 20k because TheDurkJr. left the e-brake on for thirty miles the day he got his permit and I didn't notice until I smelled it. Shoes and drums both fried. 150k now and they still work fine. Shoes are getting thin, though, so I know they work.
