What Scan Tool??

Hey folks!

I'm just wondering what Scan Tool we use to connect to the Diagnostic port in the engine bay?? My rig's been giving me a Check Engine light for about a week now....I've tried tightening the gas cap, filling up the oil, checking the coolant, and after doing all of these, disconnecting the Negative Cable on my battery to reset the computer. Unfortunately, the light comes back on after about 30 or so miles of driving! The truck runs fine, at least is seems that way.

Basically, I'm looking to use the scan tool to see what code the light is giving.

I have an Actron model#CP9125 that works pretty well at reading trouble codes and clearing code after repair. It works on 96 and newer vehicles. Cost me about 60 bucks. If you don't want to go that route most autoparts places will read trouble codes for you.
