what shocks do you run/recommend for 3rd gen

so my ride has been getting pretty rough, and with almost 175k miles on my rig, id like to get some new shocks to fix this solution. eventually looking at a 3 inch lift, but i would like to change out the shocks before hand, and do the lift later if possible.

so whats everyone running? i was looking at bilstein hd's but not sure if i want to pay over $100 per shock. any other suggestions/ good experiences?
