What should I do to my Runner?

Besides fixing the front bumper (thats going to be done here shortly).

I don't want anything crazy or too expensive, just some nice mods to add something different.

Lose the black fender trim, put a nice stereo in it, and don't get white letter tires when you get new ones :D

I like it, btw. I like the running boards but that fender trim only looks right when you've got some wider tires on it.

White with Chrome = :biggrin2:

Since your front bumper's dinged anyway, you might want to consider replacing it with a TJM-17 or 15 bumper. Here's a link to pics of one on fireteacher's:

They're kind of expensive but I think they look awesome and you could use the money you would have spent fixing the front bumper towards the purchase of the TJM. And I also think fireteacher's old school "TOYOTA" badge on the front looks great too.

Agreed with the white lettering on the tires and lose the goodyears on next tire replacement. Clear lenses would look good but I vote for the stereo upgrade first if you are running stock equipment.

Keep the flare trim or it'll look like the base model;no flare and you just risk dinging up the the fender edges.

2wd or 4wd?? If 4wd do you actually plan on leaving the pavement?

Actually most of everything people have suggested are pretty cliche and aren't really different so maybe just do what you really like.

so go a little classy

Hood struts to impress the mechanics that work on the ride ahd a painted rear wing-mine looks good in the white!

Replace the bumper with another factory bumper . Leave the black wheel flares cause they look good on a white runner . Add some shades for your side windows .
I like the wheels that are on it . Add some clear corners . 3rd Gen's look great already so its hard to improve :D

What do you plan to do with this? I think those wheels are very nice. They're one of the best Toyota wheels to date, IMO. Keep them, keep the fender flares (I like the black. Makes it look tough).

Perhaps, get rid of the running boards (unless you use them a lot), and the only thing I would do maybe is get some 265/75/16 tires. That's it. Then go and wheel the thing then get upgrades where you see fit.

Yeah I like my black fenders..lol

I just recently put shades on the windows, this is just an older pic. I'd like to maybe tint the windows a bit more.

Also, its a 2wd so I can't really do much with it off road. Its pretty much stock but I kinda like it that way. I'd like to get some bigger/nicer tires on it soon though.

Does it have a rear locker? If so, you would be surprised how well it would do off-road. Only snow and mud, you would have hard time in. There are plenty of prerunner (2WD) guys on TTORA and they lay the smack down on some 4x4's. One guy in a 2WD went around a guy in an FJC with a 3" lift and 33's, then had to winch him through! Talk about embarrassing. :p

when if u do clear corners/LED lights in those and bumpers, you can do a whole LED conversion for gauge clusters, dome lights, umm ... a nice exhaust setup for some performance/sound, sylvania ultras for your headlights ... theres too many mods

man looks like u are getting alot of good advice! man i love this site!
