What should I pay for an 05?

I have been looking into trading in my 01 for an 05. Here is the best price that I got from a dealer.

It is a SR5 V8 with cloth interior, side curtain airbags, sunroof, leather wrapped stearing wheel and shift knob, Double Decker cargo, running boards, tow package, roof rack, rear spoiler, and the JBL sound package.

The dealer will sell this vehicle to me for 29k. What do you guys think about this?

Sounds good to me... I got the Sport Edition V8 4WD (LOADED) for about $32K.

i think thats too much. The running boards, tow package, roof rack
are standard with any 4runner. I paid 31k for my sport and there should be deeper discounting gettin closer to the 06 models and with the continuing gas crunch.
OTOH i've been watching the 2 local toy dealers since getting mine and the t4r is the only model not offered in deals in the local weekend advertising.
Still, hold out for a better deal like an SE for 30. Its the best bang for buck package. Mine has all the options your deal has except for the jbl. I assume your sr5 is a 4x4? you didn't say.

Yeah, I'm thinking that I will hold out. No it's not 4x4. So the SE has the hood scoop right? Any other bells and wistles?

yeah not a great deal

definitely w/o the 4x4.
its got a non functional but coolo looking scoop. you should check toyota's site if you aren't familiar with the se. it comes with a lot of nice features big and small. big as in the xreas suspension and small as in the color matched roof rack!

I just purchased an 05 Sport V6 2wd with leather, sunroof, spoiler and JBL Synthesis package for $29k with the rebate (before TT&L). You should be able to get a V8 SR5 for a lot less then what they are quoting you IMO.

In my searching, I've found 84% of MFr. Retail is the lowest folks have paid. You can get a Consumer Reports Custom Report on your car with rebates, holdovers, options, etc. Figure out the invoice on your car with it's options, then pay invoice, minus rebates and holdovers, plus destination charge, plus $100 proift.

That's your price, and it will be about 84% of retail.
