What size BFG All Terrain tire?

I have a 2008 4runner Sport V6 with 265/65R17 tires. I just called the BFG dealer and he said there were no tires that would fit????????? Would a 30 inch fit??? He said that I would want the michelin LTX A2 instead??

You can fit 265/70/17's in there that will give you a .5" to 1" "lift". BFG KO's come in that size. So do Bridgestone REVO's, which I had in that exact size and they were great. Nitto TerraGrapplers also come in that size. I am going to try that tire next.

If you want to keep the stock sizing (265/65/17), I'd suggest REVO's or Michelin A/T 2's. I'm partial to Bridgestone, so REVO is what I'd pick, but it's up to you.

Also, are you going to be driving mostly on road or will you be doing a lot of wheeling? On road, Bridgestone and Michelin will spank the BFG's and still do well off-road (but BFG's will have an edge off-road).

I will do some off roading, I live in Northern PA on the NY border and I am looking for something BETTER in the snow!

My REVO's did better than LTX A/T's, so between those two, I'd go with REVO's. Friends Jeep with BFG's did well in snow, too.

That may be so with the previous generation of Michelin LTX A/T. However, according to independent testing, the new LTX A/T-2 outperformed both REVOs and Goodyear Wrangler SilentARmor in off-roading and in bad weather.

Which independent testing was this? But, yes, I was talking about the previous gen LTX A/T's. REVO's did awesome for me, so I would still stick with REVO's, unless I get a chance to test out the A/T 2's.

That's what got me interested, too. Not sure on the performance personally, but others are saying that they really like it. And like you said, it's cheaper.
