What size Fairing for Thule rack?

After installing a Thule roof rack on my new 08 T4R, I've noticed way more wind noise compared to the factory crossbars (which I removed in favor of the Thule bars). Now I plan to buy a fairing but I'm not sure which size fits the T4R? I'm heading out on a 2-month road-trip this summer and the thought of listening to all that wind noiseis more than I can stand. Sooo....is anyone running a Thule roofrack w/ fairing....if so what size?

Thanks.......

Since there were no replies to my post, I thought I'd answer
it since I just installed the fairing this morning.

Went with the medium (38") and I'm pleased with the fit. There are about a 1.5 inches of space on each side of the fairing between the factory roof-rack towers. If I had gone with a large I fear it would not fit between the rails on the factory rack.
Anyway, I will report back after I drive the truck later to report on
the decrease in wind noise.

how is the wind noise now? I just installed these and agree there is way too much noise... I have the thule racks on my rav4 and they do not make this noise at all, but I had the fairing from day 1.

if you have one can you post a farther away pic of the truck with the fairing up there (not sure I really like the looks, but I need to do something about the noise)

I am going to put pads on the racks pretty soon, just waiting to get a deal from a local shop

I agree...I just installed the roof rack over the weekend, and noticed the noise, even at 20 mph. Ordered the fairing this morning. It's the medium 871XT that fits the 4th Gen. 4R's.

Here are the photos so far, and more to come with the fairing this weekend!

Well, my fairing hadn't come in yet, so I snagged the one off my wife's Corolla. What a difference! Hadn't been out on the highway yet, but locally, up to 55 mph, and it sounds the same as the factory rack and crossbars did. Well worth the extra $$ to get the fairing!

sorry for bring up an old thread, but can anyone with this fairing report back with the wind noise? I bought a set of Thule crossbars recently and the wind noise was way too loud. Trying to figure out if this fairing is worth the investment.

Yes, the fairing makes all the difference. I have a Yakima set up and the fairing, at least for me, took care of the howl that the yakima crossbars produced.
