What Sliders Can you run with KDSS?

I think kdss is going to cause a pain on the drivers side no matter the brand. It's not that much of a pain just enough to mentions. In my honest opinion the stock gas cover was more pain then the kdss and other along the driver frame rail

So you are running bud built on yours with a KDSS system? Do they bolt on or use u-bolts?
Does yours have KDSS, and if so did the slider cause issues or have the potential to interfere with the system?
I installed Demello Bolt On Hybrid Sliders last week on my 2014 trail w/ KDSS.
They are built well and the powder coat was in good condition (I picked them up myself to save on shipping and they had them in stock).
It took ~3.5 hours solo without power tools to do the install. The passenger side was straight forward (I laid down some spare cardboard to prevent dinging up the hardware and keep myself off my dirty driveway).
1) Unbolt the brake line brackets
2) Bolt up the passenger side slider
3) Pat self on back
The driver side is a different beast but whatever you do, don't use a hammer and don't use a crowbar!
1) Unbolt the brake line & KDSS hard line brackets
2) Unbolt the two skid plates for KDSS (one for the pressurized main unit, and one for where the lines cross under the frame member - 2 bolts each)
***Note that the KDSS unit is attached to a sheet-metal bracket via two bolts and that the bracket is bolted to the frame by two bolts. The sheet-metal bracket has two tabs that protrude into the frame rail (the lower one has a bent up tang on the end, while the upper is straight).
3) Disconnect the electrical connector to the KDSS unit.
4) Unbolt the two bolts that attach the KDSS bracket to the frame (leave the KDSS attached to the bracket)
5) There is a bolt that goes through the KDSS unit directly into the frame. Unfortunately there are a lot of fittings on the KDSS unit and you don't want to mess with the wrong fitting. Partially unscrew this bolt to clear the slider thickness, but don't fully back it out (USE CAUTION and I believe the bolt is the one above the electrical connector in the upper right[aft] corner)
6) You should have some freedom to slightly move the KDSS unit now. Bend the two tabs that engage the frame from the bracket to free the KDSS unit (still attached by the one bolt).
7) Bolt the slider up (I used some spare wood and the vehicle jack to act as a second hand while carefully aligning / positioning this side)
8) Bolt up the KDSS unit, reconnect electrical, and bolt up the skid plates.
9) BEER
An additional note: The brake brackets and KDSS bracket have non threaded features that engage the frame (brake brackets are for anti-rotation, KDSS bracket is for factory install... this is all just my opinion / speculation). The Demello sliders do not have holes for these tangs so you just have to bend them / ignore them.

Yes, and no issues but the install isn't what I would call a "good time"

I ran Rocky Road Outfitters sliders on my '11 TE w KDSS. I didn't need to unbolt anything from the frame other than one of the parking brake cable brackets. All it took was some care getting the bolts lined up, and patience while working a couple of them with only the 'C' end of a slim combination wrench.

Yup kdss system no interference or didn't mess anything up and they mount in to hole tapped along the frame already. Once they are in place all the holes that are tapped line right up and screw in tight.

I just installed allpro bump out sliders on my 2010 with kdss and it took and hour and 20 min to do by myself. There is a great thread on here that explains how to do it properly. It's only like 12 bolts to take out then slide your slider in between the kdss lines and the frame then bolt it all back together. Using jack stands or a floor jack is your best option if you plan on doing it solo. The passenger side is super quick and easy like everyone has stated, just take your time on the driver side and don't let your slider fall on your kdss. I'm sure that any slider install will be the same with kdss.

I second Rocky Road Super Sliders. I have them on my 2014 TE with KDSS. Installed very easily.

nothing specific to KDSS that spoils the good time with the Shrockworks sliders—it's that one damn bolt for the gas tank strap. sunnuvabeetch!Shrockworks "step" slider on a 2013 w/ KDSS
Snug fit but no issues.

I also have Rocky Road sliders on our 2014 TE with KDSS. The right side install was super-easy. The left side took quite a bit longer as there is one bracket that interferes slightly with the KDSS piping, requiring the removal of the clamp bolts on the pipes; some slight tweaking of the pipes; then once all the bracket bolts were (finally) tightened, the re-install of the pipe clamp bolts. Not a major issue, more of a PITA.

RCI Metalworks just released sliders for 5th-gens and has models for both KDSS and non-KDSS. I'm in the process of ordering mine now, but when I initially asked Josh about the separate KDSS sliders, this is what he said:
"As for the sliders, it is not a website error, these are available for both KDSS and NON KDSS 4Runners. Due to the KDSS system on the drivers side, we designed a custom frame plate that is 2-pieces and completely avoids the central KDSS unit and slides in underneath the rear of the KDSS lines. This still allows for 3 gusseted legs to the slider.
We can powdercoat the sliders for you. The cost is $150."
