I posted a similar question in the 5th generation forum, but I'd like to understand 4th gens as well, so hopefully this is okay mods.

I'm considering getting a 2005 or newer 4runner and I'm a bit confused as to which models have which transfer cases/4x4 systems. I live in Colorado in the foothills outside of Denver and would prefer something with a full time 4wd option, that also has 4H, and 4L - is there such a beast? FYI - I'm an experienced four wheeler and have owned and modified a half dozen jeeps. I do not plan on modifying the 4runner, but appreciate things like rear lockers. However - full time 4wd and safety on the highway is more important to me.
1) I had a Jeep that had a t-case with four options - 2H, 4H, 4F (full time 4WD), 4L - and of course N. Do any of the 4th gen models have a something like this Jeep T-Case?
2) My wife has a 2005 Highlander and there is no way to turn off the traction control. Our driveway is long (3/4 mile) and hilly, and when there is snow and you need to get on it, some times it feels like the traction control is actually working against you. Do the 4Runners have a way to turn this off?
(for example I have a button on my Subaru to turn VSC off, and then I can blast through the snow)
3) Thoughts on the V6 power and ability to pull a trailer in CO? I plan on pulling a trailer with RZR and dirt bike from Denver to Moab (across divide) twice a year. Total weight trailer and all will be < 2000#.
