Not sure about you guys/girls out there, but i am wondering when we are going to get a taste of winter. I mean common, i have been ready to do some silly isht in the snow, and there isn't any to be had. I mean i looked at the farmers almanac and it said that the winter will be colder and with more snow that usual. such a p.o.s.

Any weathermen out there that can shed some efing light on the fact that there is no more winter to be had, and it is only January

Drew, today it felt like spring in NJ. I was even riding with the sunroof open in the afternoon. I heard somebody say that February is going to be a snowy month. Also, I saw there is a chance of snow this Monday. We start off the week at 10 degrees and end it at 61 degrees. This is crazy!!

Drew you SISSY! You wouldn't come off roading with us a few weeks ago because you just got your truck detailed! In the middle of winter! And NOW you are complaining b/c there isn't enough snow??? What would you do with snow??? Your pretty truck might get dirty!!!! :p

LOLOLO. Laugh it up ksneubec. Fine you're right on this one. B@stard. Yes, last week she was all pretty and shiny, but now she is all covered in salt and road isht, and she needs to be even dirtier b/f she gets cleanded again.

LAUGH IT UP BUDDY, WE'LL MEET AGAIN

yep same here, normally weve had some sort of snow here but nope, nothing. So, in my infuriation i contacted Mike Moss, our local weatherman to see why he wont make it snow, his response:

BRONCOSI, I wish I could tell you something more definitive, but when it comes to snow more than a few days in the future, we (not just WRAL, but meteorologists in general) just plain don't know. As for the temps in the 60s, they aren't quite as unusual here as you might think. If we continued at the same average temperature we've seen so far this month, it would clock in as the 4th warmest January since records began at the RDU airport in 1949. When you check it against the entire "Raleigh" climate history, it doesn't even make the top 5. Even so, making the #4 spot for RDU does represent a very warm month. As far as the future goes, we've been seeing long range indicators of a significant pattern shift in early February for about a week now. Those can prove to be misleading on occasion, but if this one holds true it would represent a major transition to below-normal temperatures during the first week or two of that month. There's no way to tell for now whether the cold would be timed so as to combine with storm systems to produce a big snow. Anything farther out into later Feb or Mar would just be guessing on my part at this point. Keep your fingers crossed!

Mike

so basically hes telling me we are going to have a GYNORMOUS snow storm in the first 2 weeks of Febuary . . . . .

broncosi

If that is the case, i will be holding my breath. I can only pray that this thing happens, b/c as much as i love a nice day i need my snow fix.

Seriously i need a big efing snowstorm to make me feel better

Same boat, bring on the snow.....

Weatherman friend down here forecasted a huge snowstorm for last weekend, it was 60 out so we didn't believe him. Sure enough, Saturday night we had white out blizzard style conditions in Southern Jersey, and got 5 inches of snow.

He's also forecasting a snowy February. Something about warm January = very snowy Feb. I hope so, could sure use a snow day to test out the 4runner.

Yup, nothing here either. Crappy winter. Every since I bought my runner last Nov we haven't got any worthy amount of snow. It's so depressing.

Now I got the Revos so I'm REALLY itching for some! :D

Same here..we had a cold few weeks in december...and got one snow of maybe 4". Since then we havent even had anything stick to the roads. Its been in the 40-60 deg range the whole month of Jan. I think our 2 warmest jan. ever. Ive lived in my house since May 04 and i have never had enough snow to shovel my driveway. Oh well...what can you do?

Haha, my birthday is this Thursday and I think we're gonna have a barbeque/pool party...

thats just embarressing . . . . for mother nature in general, i dont understand why it doesnt man up and snow already, its been dry as what here in raleigh, NC, nothing even close to snow.

were at the point now where we get excited when it rains and its below 50 :D

I have to agree, this sucks. I got a 4WD because I thought you northerners got lots of snow and stuff. Last winter there wa good sniw up here but I was in the desert. I wanna have some fun in the snow!!!

BTW, Drew, I have to agree with Karl on the part about not getting your truck dirty. Atleast when an off road trip is planned, I have military obligations that limit my attendance. Your excuse is, "I just got my truck detailed." WHAT THE EF???!!!

Also there is a possibility that I might go up to Ft Drum. If this is the case I am gonna try and take my truck. Atleast they get snow up there. Watertown 9" yesterday!!!!

Bouncnb

YES YES YES. I realize now that, that was the worst excuse possible. Although it was true. I mean common, you spend like 3 hours on it, and then you destroy the fruits of your labor by hopping through mud puddles? LOL. Next time will be diff..

I CHALLENGE YOU ALL TO A DUEL

Yes yes yes always next time with you. BTW, I wqill be in Ft. Drum for 2 weeks and we are getting 2 rental SUV's. With all the snow they get, you know what that means!!!!!!!!!!!!!:bouncy2:
Finally some fun in the snow.

Time to put up or shut up. You guys see the thread about the trip to Rausch creek? Look under NY/NJ or DC/Maryland threads.
