What the heck does this mean??

Im trying to find reverse gauges for my 2001 sport. I keep seeing this . I need one that has check eng and below it cruise. is this symbol for 4x4?

It looks like it might be the differential lock indicator. I'm not really that familiar with the 3rd gen instrument layout though...

Thats the 4WD ind lite, not diff lock

Yeap, that is where the 4WD indicator light is if you have a 3rd gen 4Runner, as opposed to the 3.5 gen 4Runner as I like to refer to it. (after the 1999 refresher). After that, I think is when it was moved to the center abouve and inbetween the 2 main gauges.

Are you sure the console you have now doesn't have those images. I ask because I had an 00 base w/ the 5 speed. When the sun hit the dash just right you could see the image for the A/T oil temp light, rear diff lock and other things my truck was in no way equipped with.

Thanks everone for the replys. You Guy's and Ladies on this site are truly great...I mean that. You have helped dumb ass me so much since I bought my "Tink". I know I have a lot more questions to ask later , just please dont stop helping me find the info I need.Im going to do a double check , but Im 99.9% sure thats the set up. Ill try to take a photo. I sure would be greatful to anyone helping me find this. Ive googled it, checked ebay, speed-hut ect , I Just cant find it

This is the dashboard from a 2001 Limited 4WD, the closest up close shot I could find to your 2WD Sport from 2001. Do you have the little box inbetween the two gauges?, but nothing lights up inside of it? Or is it just not there? That is the indicator for the 4WD on equipped models.

You can see that this is the setup you need Ron. The check engine lights and CRUISE lights are on the right side, by the gas gauge.

well i wouldnt worry about getting one that has the part with the 4wd section, on 2wd models there isnt that section of plastic cut out there

The tach in my 99 has some bubbles forming on the stock vinyl. Is this happening to anyone else?
