What to clean throttle body with?

I read somewhere not to use carb cleaner to clean the throttle body what do i use?

You can use just about any common hydrocarbon solvent (gasoline, kerosene, store bought stuff, etc) Use small rags, paper towels, Q-tips, or a toothbrush; to scrub with. Make sure that you get to the underside of the butterfly (throttle-plate)

I would not touch the maf with anything unless you suspect a problem with it or ordered a new one
