What to do about my seats?

when i got my 88 runner, the passeneger seat would not slide forward the cable is broke. Then the driver seat has broken welds so teh seat is stuck a little reclined and leaning to the right so i figured since i have to replace the dirvers seat it would be just as easy to replace both as there is like no fabric left on them and under the seat covers is just padding. But i cant seem to find any seats around here... what do you suggest? any other ideas? just so long as the new seat can slide forward, oh i have been checking local junkyards for almost a year with no luck.

Your not checking hard enough. 2WD or 4Wd seats should work, as well as p/u seats (x-cab p/u's should have the slide forward pass seat). Plenty of Japanese cars, p/us, and SUVs have seats that will work also. You may have to drill a hole or 2, but they'll work.
