ok i need to replace my tires on my 97 4 runner and at the moment it has 245/75/16 tires and rides like crap.went to my tire guy and he had suggested that i put on 225/70/16 which would almost be the same size as the door sticker( 225/75/15 and we both thought that the tire size was wrong ). do you guys think this would help with the poor fuel mileage that i get, i only get about 340 kms to a tank on the highway or 210 miles to a tank. plugs, wires, air filter where all changed when i had the oil done. my dodge magnum with a hemi gets better fuel mileage and weights more with the mds off

Yes, going with a smaller tire will help with MPG. It won't look as good though.

What load range do you have right now?

i couldn't find the load range on the tire but it is a LT tire. i also took my gps with me just to see if the speed was off at all. it is right on with the speedo
