What Toyota do you wish they still made?

My vote is for a V8 4Runner. I'd already have a 5th gen if I could get one with a V8. Instead, I'm saving up for a 200 series.

Never owned one but a ~80's LC BJ7x series short body :thumb: Heck I'd take a new 79 series if I could afford to import one + left hand drive.

About 2 weeks ago I saw a Toyota Trekker, the ones that were constructed by Winnebago Industries here in Iowa. This was a progenitor to our beloved 4R's. Yellow color with a black stripe. Very sharp looking truck. It was roaming the streets here in Cedar Rapids. It would be high on my list to own as a third vehicle if I had garage space.

Right! Those pre-5th gen (<-'88) Hilux's would rust in the desert! My '89 Hilux lived in the Wasatch canyons over a decade and then drove to and from for another ten years, the only rust issues I had were the door skins bottom pinch weld and around the windshield (all but one crappy installer)

I liked the 1980's Tercel model (3AC eng) w/5 speed. It ran great, good on gas & simple to repair-
