K&N Drop in air filter & '04 Throttle Body Spacer (needless to say I got to send that one back. Some moron in marketing for an online retailer probably said, "Hey, the '05 has the 4.7L V8 too"). I even called and asked to be sure it fit an '05 and that the '05 engines are different. Oh well, I got a full refund.

I got rid of the four wheel locks (lugs) and replaced the floor mats with rubber ones from Sam

for the 04 - front tint, rubber mats, remote start, hood deflector
for the 06 - front tint, rubber mats, remote start, hood deflector, wheel locks.
for the 06 - front tint, rubber mats, remote start, hood deflector, wheel locks.

OK, I give......what's the big deal about K&N? I guess if it saves 2 mpg, then it might be something to look into, but I'm not understanding it's value?

I can tell you this much, it makes me fell alot better to have a reputable air fiulter in my engine, than to have X, Y, Z brand.
Also, it has been proven that this is one of the best air filters you can buy, if not the best.
I was able to tell the difference in pick up right after the install, the engine took a deep breath of fresh air and I took off. There are mixed reviews about the gas milage, you woun't be saving any money in gas, unless you drive granny style.

Thanks for the input, I have seen reference to K&N so may times, but couldn't understand the cost justification ($38 +)!

It is the ONLY ONE You'll ever own for that truck.. So yes it'll save you big bucks in the long run. This trucks last a long time and more with proper care.
