What wheels are these?

Hey everybody!

I am trying to learn more about my runner and have been looking around for possible mod ideas, and while reading through the buyers guide i noticed that my wheels are not on the standard 4runner wheels list. They are toyota wheels with the logo. Does any one know if these came optional on 4runners or if they are from another truck. They aren't causing any problems, in fact I really like them more than what the standard option were, I am just curious.

I've got those on mine! There aren't many of us out there! haha. You're lucky your truck came with them, I had to buy mine off of a 2011 Tacoma.

are you running a spacer for them to work?

I am running those as well. As mentioned above those wheels are from a Tacoma, and never came on our 4runners. You might want to check the inside of the tire where the upper control arm is to make sure they havent been damaged. They have less backspacing than the stock wheels, pushing them closer in toward the control arms. From everything Ive read you need to run spacers with them to prevent any rubbing. Im running 1.25 spacers with mine.

I havent checked to see if there are spacers, but i just had new tires installed about a week ago and they didn't say anything to me then, I haven't noticed any rubbing or anything. The tires I just put on are the Falken Wild Peak At 265/70r16. I am planing on taking the running boards off today so I will look to see if I can tell if there are spacers then

So after I took my running boards off today i looked at all the clearances on the back side of the wheel. I didn't see any signs of rubbing any where but here are some pics so you guys can let me know if things are too close.

Do you have spacers? You will be able to see them between the wheel and hub. Also, to be really sure about rubbing, turn the wheel all the way in one direction, and then get out and take a look at it. Then turn it all the way to other side and check again.

Nope, no spacers. And no rubbing to my knowledge. I really like the look of them! :jump:

I bought mine as take-offs from a 2010 tacoma. my favorite style toyota rims yet. No spacers, no problems.

Let's clear up a bit of this confusion...

Those wheels have the exact same backspacing as pretty much all newer Toyota 6 lug alloys... 00-06 Tundra, 00-07 Sequoia, 05+ Tacoma, FJ, 4th/5th gen T4R, etc...

A 3rd gen 4Runner should only need spacers with these wheels if you're going wider than 265. My 00-06 Tundra wheels also have the same backspacing, those only needed spacers when I got 285's.

Yep i have no spacers and they don't rub even with the wheel turned all the way, my wheels are the 265/70/16

Ok. I read on another thread that a guy running these wheels had issues with rubbing. But I dont know that from personal experience. Maybe he was running a wider tire. I put spacers on with my Tacoma wheels so Ive never tried it. I do know that the backspacing was different between my stock 6 spokes and these Tacoma wheels. But I cant remember by how much. Anyways, if they dont rub, awesome. Thats good to know.
