Tried to watch breaking bad this summer. A really good show if you want to be bored and be able to predict the entire future of a show. If you don't like being bored out of your mind, not worth watching.

Dude this comment is all messed up. That show is not boring but to each their own i guess. I am a fan a well developed character dramas: BB, The Wire, B.S.G., Mad Men ...

I dont think it is boring, that claim is pretty fracking (bsg YO) crazy. I'm not alone. It has the highest IMDB rating for a drama besides The Wire and it won best drama 3 years in a row.

For those wondering why I mentioned Breaking Bad, here is a good trailer of what you have been missing out on. It is not boring, it picks up very quickly after the first few episodes of S1.

Half Measures are over ... Season 5, the final season is coming later this year. The show is being written to a planned close. There will be no 6th season. So far it is tied as my favorite drama or all time, equally with HBO's The Wire & SCI-FI's Battlestar Galactica.

I love Breaking Bad. I have only seen the first 5 episodes and want more! I need to get the DVD's and catch up!

Movie of the year goes to 21 Jump Street. Funniest movie I have seen in a while.

Yeah, 4 Christmases has 5 stars on IMDB. That means everything on there is ranked 5 times as high as it should be.

Inception is in the top 20 on there.

But on the rizz, I really tried watching and did watch through 2.5 seasons. Looking at the trailers, it is the exact same thing: the dad from Malcom in the Middle being an aggressive father who needs to provide for his family, it is just getting more and more extreme.

I'm on the Dark Knight Rises wagon, too--I love Nolan's approach to the Batman series, making serious dramas out of them, and using extremely good casts (except trying to replace Katie with Maggie--no go!). And unlike so many series these days, it sounds like they are definitely ending on this note--I can't stand when they keep bringing stuff back, over and over (see Spiderman--whole new cast, last series only a few short years old; and Bourne--also new cast, lead isn't even Jason Bourne, just riding the coattails).

The trailer for Looper posted above actually looks pretty bad@ss.

Of course the Dark Knight Rises will be amazing. I especially like Nolan's preference to use IMAX film but not 3D.

I saw The Dark Knight at the Irvine IMAX @ Spectrum mall. It was absolutely amazing and is probably the best IMAX theater in Southern California (they are not all the same people!). Totally awesome 2D IMAX film.

BTW the best movie I have seen in the last 6 months is Chronicle, I watched it in 2012.

It is really good, really dark and twisted and super intense.

Well I kind of feel like any movie with Robert Duvall in it should be worth at least 5/10 stars, even the bad ones - but yeah I get your point.

Oh and Inception was really good, amazing actually.

The thing I found with Inception is you better keep all your attention on the screen--if you're distracted much, you won't have a clue what's going on. Not one to watch with a gabby friend (LOL).

I don't think it will be as anywhere near as good as Borat because it is a totally different premise. Borat and Ali-G were both about tricking people into buying a character. Here there is no trick; it is full hollywood movie that will need to survive on its script, acting, and directing. :jump:
