What would be your ideal 2" lift set up?

Out of all of the different combinations of coils and shocks -- budget or no budget, what would you pick?

disclaimer: I'm aware of the stickies and common lift set ups. Just trying to make conversation and have a fun dream thread.

edit: I'm also curious about newer lift options like using 5th gen or FJ suspensions.

My setup:

Front: Bilstein 6112 - 8th notch, about 2"
Rear: OME 890 / Bilstein 5100, about 2 1/2"

Front: Tundra 5100's with FJ springs on I think the 2nd notch, can't remember

Rear: FJ coils and 3rd gen 5100's

Netting 2" of lift but the front sits a little higher then the rear the way I have it set up right now.

I paid around $400 for all of the parts together so you can search around and save some money over OME if you can be patient. I can't compare to the ride against anything else because I've never been in anything else, but compared to stock it's amazing. I actually have an extra pair of FJ front and rear springs if your ever interested.

Nice look! What size and brand tire are you running? Lastly, I thought 890s gave about a 3” lift?

Thanks. Running the 265/70R17 BFGoodrich KO2's. For the 890's per Wheelers site: Old Man Emu 2890 Rear Coil Spring Set, they state 2.5". But the shocks I have are limiting by about a half inch or so. Maybe they state that because of when it settles, dunno.

Just got a 3" front spacer lift and 2.5" rear spacer lift. Not sure but front spacers are only 1.5 tall is that how them lifts work ?

For the front, yes. The motion ratio is about 2:1, meaning 2" of wheel travel is about 1" of spring/shock travel. 1.5" of spacer is ~3" of lift in the front.

Thanks for the info. Did you do a panhard bar drop bracket? Do you think 275/70R17 or possibly 285/70R17s would fit?

Well on full droop in the front the tires pretty much come a couple millimeters up against the upper control arm. And I'm pretty sure from my research that 3" is the consensus for 285's. I did not do a pan hard drop bracket, haven't looked at it to tell if I really need it or not. Though it's not a difficult thing to do anyways.

So, what is different about using FJ coils over trd tundra/lc80 coils? Just that they're newer?

In socal, around the time I started to look for lifts, I saw an abundance of people posting FJ springs for sale so I started to research if anyone had ever put them on a 3rd gen 4R, and I found a few. I bought a set of just the springs hoping that I'd get lucky and find shocks next, but soon after I found a member of the forum selling his whole setup including FJ springs for $350. It was much cheaper and easier to gather over trying to find tundra springs and LC80 coils. I didn't want a huge lift either so LC80's were pretty much out of the question for me.
