Ok If you could change things on your 4runner what would they be? I am driving a 2010 SR-5 4X4 also have a 2010 Tundra TRD double cab non 4X4 but the nice 5.7 engine.
I would change these things add on if you like.
The color of the dash lights red is out of date.
The steering wheel those wide spokes on the bottom got to go.
The horn the beep beep horn does not go with the runner get a man horn like my Tundra has.
The window switches are in a weird place to high IMO.
More cubby holes and cup holders. My tundra has a ton of compartments one just right to fit my pistol in between the seats.
Oh yea a granny handle on the drivers side to pull yourself in with.

Other then the few items I really love the 4runner I might swap out the horn soon I will get a tundra horn from Toyota it should be a plug and go since they are both the same year and both Toyota.

-I would ditch all the plastic "ground effects" on my SR-5 and go for something for functional like the TE.

-Torsen center diff like 4th gen.

-higher factory ride-height like LC Prado's.

-Add more covered storage in the cargo area.

-A full skid-plate over the gas tank

-Antenna in the window.

-rear cup holders in center console

Change my black exterior for a Blizzard Pearl with TE cloths. I'd also be a bit happier having the black plastic in the cargo area covered with carpet to provide more scratch/slip resistance when carting stuff around.

OK OK i messed up and did not use the search function. Sorry i am a rookie at this fourm. But at least you know what I have observed.

1. One touch soft close trunk
2. HID headlights
3. Memory seat
4. Wider wheels on LE
5. Windows up/down button by interior door handles

geez dont you just hate those people who post something that doesn't contribute to the thread whatsoever.... those bas****s.........

What I hate even more are those people who post something that doesn't contribute to the thread whatsoever, while complaining about those people who post something that doesn't contribute to the thread whatsoever....:sleepy:...lol

1. I don't like the tinny sounding doors.
2. the SR5 don't have auto headlights
3. the color of the radio face display.
4. and the HORN.

Changes

The 7" factory rims (SR5 and LE)
The window/door switch positioning
Lack of a memory seat
The external radio antenna
The rake needs reduced slightly
I'd like to have a stop of some sort, on the rear door, so I could control how high up it goes (loading or unloading in the garage is a pain)
Slightly thicker sheet metal, at least on the hood
The V8 from the GX would be good
Color coded door handles on all models (the chrome sucks)

SEATS!! I don't know what it is, but I cant get comfortable. I have had it for 4 months now and I just found a spot that doesn't make my feet fall asleep after 10 minutes of driving. Still wouldn't trade my T4R for anything else. Just cant get comfortable.

I feel your pain, literally. But since I do not drive mine more then 1 hour at a time, not a big issue for me. I have, however, had vehicles with uncomfortable seating which I had to change in the past. My suggestion, try your best to figure out the actual problem. i.e. too soft, too hard, not enough support in the buttock's area too much in the lower back area etc.

Then take the truck to an upholstery shop with a good rep. Explain to them what you think you need, and let them advise. You might be pleasantly surprised as to both the advice and cost. Then, you will LOVE your vehicle that much more.

Another option is to find other seating that you really like, bring that with you somehow and have them try their best to copy it. Either way, comfort is VERY important and no manufacturer can please all. But YOU can please yourself if you work at it. (That did not come out right, did it)........

Other than what others said, the roof XM antenna could be removed to allow for more rack options. Also the rated weight capacity of the roof should be higher.

Cheers,
Greg

Dark blue color option
Keypad entry
Cleaner designed interior especially door panels
Power outlet as standard option
Canadian running boards
Entune available

Sunlight reflection off the hood bump on the TE (I may yet paint it flat black)
It would be nice if the hood sloped down for better off-road sightline
Better sunvisor extensions, or side window sunvisors
More user-friendly phone setup for Bluetooth
Better directory perusing for USB memory sticks
