I have 2 differant lift kits. One is a Daystar 1.5 in lift, the other is a OME lift 2.5. Im not going rud running , I just want the look. My concern with the Daystar is later rear sag. I just dont know what to go with. Also , if I do go with the OME , can I use stock shocks?. I plan on putting on one of them this weekend. Please help me know whats best. By the way , it's a 2001 sport.

I would go with the OME, but thats just me. I wouldn't want to a spacer lift. The people I've talked to eventually end up getting a spring lift if they go w/a spacer lift first. I've heard you can use your stock shocks and struts if they are in good condition and you aren't going to be going offroad. But I would make sure b4 you listen to that bit of advice. What OME springs do you have?

Thanks , thats kind of what I was thinking. I have the 890 springs. I dont plan on hauling anything heavy. I just wanted a lift and a somewhat soft ride.

I just installed my Billsteins and PP 1" lift springs yesterday. If you are looking for a mild lift while maintaining a good ride I recomend this setup. I was expecting a far stiffer ride, but have been pleasantly surprised, granted I have only driven 150 miles or so. As far as lift I would say I got more than an inch on my 02 Sport, it sits very noticably higher and it feels much higher climbing in. One word of wisdon if you swap the rear shocks yourself. I did this at my friends house who has been a Toyota tech for years and has done his share of swaps. We were torching the shaft on my rear shock when a fire ball erupted. Apparently the Sports have hollow shafts with oil in them, as soon as it hit the oil we got fire. It was no big deal but we used the grinder for the other side. He said that has never happened on any other 4Runner so we assume the shocks are different, or this was just our lucky day.

'01+ Runners sit the lowest of any other 3rd gen year so you probably get close to a 2"+ lift from the PP setup.

What is your measurement from the ground to fender lip now?
