what year motors will work????

I have a '95 T4R and need a 3.0L motor. What years will work? I know that the '90-95 models are the same, but one guy was telling me that the V6's (3.0L) were the same going back to '88. Is this true?

I have found an '88 V6, but I am still looking for maybe a newer one and if someone has one for sale.

I've got this thing paid off and would like any 3.0L motor to put in it. Any leads would be greatly appreciated.

From what I understand, any 3.0 from a pickup or 4runner will work. The 3.0 in the Camrys are a different beast. Seems the motor mounts don't line up. Others who have done various swaps can give more input.

Any year 3.0 will do.
Or get adventureous and swap a 3.4 in.

Great thanks guys!! I am not doing the work myself and don't have the time to do it. I am going to keep my blown engine and get another block and rebuild it myself. This is my daily driver and need to get it back running.

any motors out there that someone wants to let go cheap??
