What years have interchangable seats?

I have a '99 and am looking to replaced the front seats. The upholstery is looking pretty old and ratty. I have a couple options, one of them being reupholstering. But I could also just replace the seats with some from the junk yard.

Does anyone know what years the seat frames are interchangeable? If I can go throw in some seats from a newer one without modification I will look to go that route.

I thought all 3rd gens were interchangeable...but I'm subscribing so that someone with first hand knowledge can say for sure...cause I'd like better looking seats too!
