Whatcom County Off Roading, where do I go?

I am heading up to Bellingham tomorrow for some Family festivities. And Ill be wanting to book it out early for some "appointments" and well all know it'll be to do some off roading. Does anyone have some suggestions for mild to moderate off road trails I could check out?

All I got is all terrain tires, no lift or winch so nothing too extreme.

After a google search, twin lakes and cascade river road popped up. But a couple photos show they are just graveled roads. But I do want to test out my rig.

lots of fs roads up there, sumas mountain/MB HWY.

Walker Valley ORV Park is just outside of Mount Vernon and is pretty mild.

Hmm warm enough to step out to cool down after 15 min. Probably around 90 to 100 degrees.
