What's everyone using for storage boxes in their T4R?

I use 2 of these, one is camping gear and the other is kitchen:

they stack well and i like that the cover is hinged so you don't have to set it somewhere (you can easily remove it if needed)

(if'm i'm solo i just bring 1 and have a small ziplock weathershield clear bin for food if needed. The weathershield bins are good but aren't durable enough to use the big ones)

Having a hinge is a nice feature. If there was anything I'd change on mine it would be that. The lid on the ones I have snaps onto the bottom for storage...but I'd still prefer a hinge.

Clevermade brand collapsable storage boxes... A great value at $11 ea. at Sam's Club.

Wow, that IS a great deal. I was looking for some smaller ones for my 4th-gen, not necessarily collapsible ones, and found some which fit *exactly* between the tailgate and the rear edge of the removable deck. They just happened to also be collapsible. I paid $13 for these smaller ones, but they would be $20 for something near your size. Mine would have been even better if they were just a "hair" lower, so that I could slide them under the deck.

Just finished my storage drawers and fridge mount this weekend.

I pulled out the sliding cargo tray and built a wooden box, I "lost" about an inch and a half of vertical open space but gained a 5inch vertical storage space. Great for recovery gear , first aid kit ect. Couldn't tell any difference in road noise after installing the box. 1in pine frame, piano hinge on 3/4 in plywood deck. All sealed with a waterproof paint and upholstered with outdoor carpet.

I know this post is old but this is an excellent idea! Thank you. My wife has a '16 Trail & I have a '15 Tacoma DCSB TRD 4.0. Tacomas have excellent storage. I may trade in my Tacoma for a '19 4Runner TRD O/R. If I do I will copy this idea except I will use 2x4's. I only need 3 1/2" of storage space for trailer hitch accessories, recovery straps, first aid kit & tools.
