After months of whining to my wife, I finally got my SS 1.2 lift kit! To those who guessed "wheels" that was close. I actually had boxed up my split spokes to sell to a guy the day before this arrived. I found a set of 5 spokes locally for $400 with all the caps and nuts, he even delivered them to my house. So I sold the old rims for $250. 231mm brakes...Here I come. Well, after the lift of course :bigok:

Finally got time to play with the new lift kit! I've had it on for a few weeks now and up until last weekend, had only tackled some gnarly speed bumps. I have three words to describe the Tundra/LC lift:
I couldn't find a good spot for a flex shot, but here she is :girl:
Oh. My. God.
I could barely tell that I had left the pavement when I got onto the FSR. Pot holes turned into dips. I found myself at one point chasing a quad up a rocky hill, just because I could. When I read that people described that their SS1.2 lift "Rode like a Cadillac" I thought that was a little exaggerated. It rides like a Cadillac.
I was had a bit of buyers remorse at first.... Did I really need to spend that much money on a lift?? 10 minutes into my trip, I got my answer, YES! I couldn't find a good spot for a flex shot, but here she is :girl:

That tire size and lift is the combo im looking for , whats the overall height of the truck now??.. I wanna see if I can get one and squeeze it into a parking garage!!

I'm rocking the Tundra/LC combo, but have Skyjacker shocks in the rear and my front struts are getting a little tired......
That being said, it still rides smoother than the Toytec Spacer / 890 combo I had before!

Whats ironic is that I've owned this thing for 9 years and did nothing but a hitch and an alarm on it. Then last year I got a new set of tires, before I'd even thought of lifting it. So another set of new tires is going to be a very tough sell to the Mrs'.
Its about 65" at the rear from the ground to the roof line. Add another 3 or so for the factory roof racks if you have them.
Thanks man! It feels good to be wrenching on trucks again. I lost interest back when I drove Chevys. Mainly because I was working on them all the time to keep them running! Now I just have to get the Savage front bumper off my bench and onto the truck. :tongue:
