What's my 1997 ultra-mint, 90,000 mi., SR5 4WD Runner worth? (i.e. what would you pay?)
This is my wife's car and it's been babied to the max, maintained perfectly, garaged, never driven in snow etc. Most people who ride in it (and don't know 4Runners) think it's a year or two old.
The truck is stock, with the exception of new Tokico Trekmasters, and has most factory options (towing, cold weather pack., rear heat, etc). Is is white with the blue/gray interior.
I ran an Edmunds "True Market Value" and they show $7906 private party, and $9971 Dealer Retail.
So how much of a premium, if any, would you be willing to pay for a Runner that is a close to showroom condition as you are going to get for a '97?
The only reason I'm thinking about selling is because I have my eye on a new 2008 V8 Sport model. But I have to say that if I could only get $8K for my '97, I might just be tempted to keep it for a third car.
